My kids don’t go away to school like most do. I know most do because we see them waiting for the big yellow bus (the one Mama won’t let me chase, the big meanie) when we go on our walk every morning.
Instead, they do their school at home!
I like it best when they do their grammar, because that’s something they like to do on the living room couch. Then I can snuggle them or gnaw at their hands. Their math is on a computer in the school room, so that’s not nearly as fun.
They seem to be putting me through school, too. They’re teaching me words (like “toy”), actions (not to go into the kitchen), and oral health (don’t eat everything on the floor). They spend time teaching gym (daily walks and playing fetch in the hallway), nutrition (eat the zucchini, not the paper), and respect for superiors (they go through the doorway first).
I’m a good student, but it’s a lot to learn. I hope I learn quickly so they’re proud of me!
