Meshach: an introduction

on Sep 7, 2015 in About Me

I’m Meshach. (say it “MEE-Shack.”) Meshach was Shadrach’s friend in the Bible. There were three Hebrews, but Mama says she’s not planning on needing to use the third name, so she gave it to Boy’s toy dog. She says Abinadab is too hard to say. Anyways, the man I was named for had a Hebrew name that meant “Who is like God?” It seems like a kind of big name for little me, but I’m learning it quickly. I weigh 10 whole pounds. I’m a Chorkie (chihuahua/yorkie mix), leaning more on the chihuahua side. I’m about 7 months old (I’m a Valentine’s Day baby!) and I am still very much a puppy. Shoelaces, pencils, bits of tissue….everything is a toy! My first owner loved me very much, but she had three dogs and decided I was the one who would do best with a new family. So my new family found me and brought me home....

My Previous Life

on Apr 14, 2015 in About Me

My old family loved me, but they left me outside most of the time. I don’t know why. I never left them presents. All I wanted was to know what was going on. and their couch. I really wanted their couch, but they never let me. I knew something was missing. I tried chasing squirrels. I tried chasing females. I tried digging my way under the fences. I never found it, though. But one day, it found me! This family showed up at my house. I acted cool but friendly, but inwardly my heart was racing. THIS was where I belonged! They agreed. They took me to a new house. They all snuggled me and talked to me, and Mama kept putting this black box near my face. I think I’m going to like it here!
